Automatic pyrolysis boilers for pellets. Pellet boilers with automatic feeding: the ideal source of heat for those who are used to comfort. Boilers Svetlobor, Russia

I apologize to the developers and manufacturers of pellet burners for buttered oil in the topic title!

Yesterday I had an interesting conversation with a client.

Pretty sensible installer, well-read forumchanin saw the light yesterday, after talking with our trade specialist!

Imagine, he spent quite a lot of time to find a pyrolysis boiler with a pellet burner. Moreover, he needed such a pyrolyzer that would burn out the exhaust gases of the burner.

The task was to find a boiler that would burn pellets with high efficiency. And my interlocutor did not know that each pellet system is designed and manufactured for the purpose of complete mechanical and chemical afterburning of pellets.

The theme was created for people who want to understand the principles of burning pellets in various systems and to eliminate technical illiteracy among the population.

He took the first burner that came to hand and attached it to the message.

Please note: all flare burners have a secondary air supply system (this is what the inhabitants call pyrolysis).

By the way, I noticed that the inhabitants, when they say "pyrolysis", mean exactly the afterburning of exhaust gases. In their opinion, pyrolysis consists in the fact that the fuel is gassed, after which it is burned in a certain way, as a result of which there is no mechanical or chemical underburning.

Dear, pyrolysis is the gasification of solid or liquid bodies under the influence of high temperatures in an oxygen-free environment!

Very conditionally, pyrolysis boilers can be called pyrolysis boilers, and even then not all (pyrolysis is not found in its pure form in all pyrolysis boilers). Pyrolyzers can be called miners (but they have already been called miners) and some pyrolyzers.

In a word, hammer on pyrolysis!

Do not look for pyrolysis pellet burners (they are all pyrolysis, in the sense that they all have an exhaust gas afterburning system and an efficiency on dry pellets in optimal modes of about 93 - 98%)!

Do not look for pyrolysis pellet boilers for the purpose of more complete afterburning of pellets. Pyrolysis pellet boilers are designed to work on wood and pellets!

Well, to still be completely honest, I inform you: indeed, under certain conditions, almost all pellet systems can work very inefficiently. The efficiency of, for example, retort burners can drop to 50% and, indeed, some manufacturers install lambda probes in their products, come up with ways to reduce chemical burns.

But, dear ones, forget about it! On your 150 - 200 m², all these systems will never pay off! IMHO! (Ready to fight off rotten tomatoes!)

Be simple!

And you will be happy!

So that the topic does not immediately die, a request to the developers and manufacturers of pellet systems: Throw some messages and pictures. Look, thanks to us, there will be more people in this world who understand us!

And fewer rotten tomatoes! And then you yourself will get confused again and confuse everyone! Read carefully and between the lines!

A couple of years ago, solid fuel boilers for long burning were "unaffordable" in price, for a simple layman. Today, the situation has changed, and more and more people want to buy such a "miracle of technology." As you know, demand creates supply. Long-burning solid fuel boilers began to be made not only by factories with ten years of experience, but also by local "Kulibins" in garages. In the article we will try to figure out how such boilers work, how to choose a boiler and what you should pay attention to.

Solid fuel boilers for long burning are divided according to the type of combustion:

  1. Normal (classic).
  2. Pyrolysis (gas generator).

By type of fuel:

  1. Pellet.
  2. Coal - wood.

Working time from 8 to 48 hours.

  • does not depend on electricity;
  • profitability;
  • availability;
  • unpretentiousness in fuel;
  • ease of maintenance.
  • Efficiency up to 70%;
  • requires additional expensive equipment for temperature control;
  • frequent cleaning.

Working time from 12 hours to 7 days.

  • Efficiency 90 - 92%;
  • long time intervals between fuel fillings;
  • fully adjustable;
  • completely burns fuel (minimum cleaning);
  • environmental friendliness;
  • safety.
  • requires an electrical connection;
  • picky about fuel;
  • price;
  • short-lived.

Working time up to several weeks.

  • the longest duration of work;
  • minimal maintenance and cleaning;
  • great fuel economy;
  • Efficiency up to 96%;
  • automatic control.
  • dependence on electricity;
  • whimsical to fuel;
  • price.

Pellets are small cylinder-shaped granules made from waste wood, peat, straw, etc.

Pellet boilers - use the pyrolysis method of burning fuel.

Pellet boilers are mounted in parallel with the installation of automatic and semi-automatic fuel supply from a built-in or external bunker. This allows the boiler to work from several hours to several weeks, according to a programmed pattern. The duration of operation in automatic mode is limited only by the presence of fuel.

Interesting - a review of the pellet boiler model EKO-GT KPP.

Simple (or classical) and pyrolysis combustion

In a solid fuel boiler of long burning, firewood, coal, etc. are burning. Let it be a manual or other fuel loading. This process is known to any schoolchild who made fires. But we will consider pyrolysis (or gas-generating) combustion in detail.

Pyrolysis combustion occurs at a minimum of oxygen and high temperature, when the fuel decomposes into gas and a solid residue with the release of heat. Pyrolysis gas, when combined with oxygen, produces a long and efficient combustion process.
Pyrolysis occurs in three stages.

In the combustion chamber of the boiler, the wood is dried and at a temperature of 450 ° C, the release of wood gas begins. Next, the pyrolysis gas merges with air, which is supplied through a telescopic pipe. The air flow is created by a fan in the boiler. A mixture of gases burns at t=560 °C.

Combustion maximizes the temperature in the boiler to 1100 ° C, where the afterburning of the pyrolysis gas takes place. The duration of pyrolysis is longer, therefore, the efficiency of the boiler increases.

For pyrolysis combustion in the boiler, there are gates. Initially, the boiler operates in normal mode, and when the set temperature is reached, fuel is added to it, and, using the gate, an effective pyrolysis combustion mode is set. Pyrolysis combustion is easily controlled, which makes it possible to automate pyrolysis boilers.

Fuel loading methods

  1. Manual - everything is clear here, they opened the combustion chamber, loaded firewood or coal, closed it. Cleaned of soot and resin. Everything. The boiler continues to work.
  2. Semi-automatic - (pellet and some pyrolysis) boilers.
  3. Automatic - (only pellet boilers).

Please note that if the boiler passport says, for example, continuous burning up to 8 hours, then this is the calculation of burning "on" coal, but if you use firewood (oak), then the burning process will be half as much, that is, about 4 -x hours. And even less on pine wood.

When buying a boiler, pay attention to material from which the body is made Is it cast iron or steel.

Cast iron - cast iron's high resistance to temperature and durability allows the use of cast iron boilers for burning any type of solid fuel, including coke, coal, wood and pellets.

Minus - it is afraid of sudden changes in the temperature of the coolant (in case of improper feeding or an accident). Fragile, not suitable for repair (only partially - sectional or complete replacement).

Steel ones are whimsical to fuel (I would not advise "burning" them with coal and coke). It is necessary to additionally pay attention to the thickness (5-6 mm), and the steel grade. Not afraid of temperature changes, suitable for repair (electric welding).

Tip - when choosing a boiler, do not try to buy the longest burning one.

First, it will be very expensive. Choose a boiler that runs on one "bookmark" of fuel, preferably wood, for 8 - 12 hours. They laid firewood in the morning, cleaned it (15-20 minutes), and boldly left for work or go about your business. In the evening (for the night) they laid firewood, cleaned the boiler and that's it, until the morning.

Secondly, you still have to come to the boiler room a couple of times a day to control the operation of the boiler.

We hope our advice will help you make a wise choice when buying a long-burning solid fuel boiler.

A pellet boiler is a steel or cast iron unit that is used for space heating. Wood pellets (pellets) are used as heating raw materials for such equipment. Such furnaces are an alternative to gas-fired heaters. From the article you will learn the main characteristics that pellet boilers have: prices, power, etc.

In fact, such a device is a solid fuel stove that heats the room by processing pellets. What is a pellet? These are cylindrical pellets made from wood waste (chips, sawdust, bark). In some cases, such fuel is made from peat or straw. It has a high environmental performance and does not cause an allergic reaction in humans.

How much does pellet fuel cost? The price of these pellets is determined depending on the quality and environmental performance. To date, 1 kg of pellets can be purchased at a price of 6.6 to 9.7 rubles. Accordingly, it is not difficult to make a calculation and determine how much 1 ton of such raw materials will cost.

The main difference between pellet boilers and conventional solid fuel devices is the ability to fully automate the workflow. Thus, pellet structures are able to function with minimal human intervention.

Helpful information! Fuel pellets can easily spoil in a room with a high level of humidity, so they must be stored exclusively in a dry place.

Advantages and disadvantages of a pellet stove

Today pellet aggregates are the main competitors of gas heating equipment. Consider the advantages of using boilers operating on solid fuel pellets:

  • high efficiency (up to 97%);

  • the operation of such furnaces is completely safe due to high environmental performance;
  • solid fuel water heaters of other types do not have such a burning time;
  • they are unpretentious in maintenance and have a high level of automation;
  • can be equipped with remote sensors that determine the temperature;
  • The pellet plant can be controlled remotely via a GSM module or a mobile application.

Like any other device, the pellet machine also has some disadvantages. Consider them:

  • the cost per unit of heat released during the processing of compressed wood pellets is quite high;
  • for autonomous operation of the boiler in a remote area outside the city, it is necessary to purchase a generator and additional technical equipment.

The cost of pellet raw materials per month is about 1 ton, which makes it easy to calculate the total cost of heating with such a solid fuel boiler. Forums on the Internet contain a lot of additional information about the features of use, as well as the pros and cons of such equipment.

Varieties of pellet boilers

First of all, today you can find two types of pellet boilers, depending on the fuel used:

  • proper pellet;
  • combined.

For the operation of the first units, only granular raw materials are used. And the combined models can operate both on pellets and on other fuels. For example, a very common version of the boiler, which processes sawdust.

Another important point is the design of the gas burner. Depending on the type of this element, the following types of furnaces are distinguished:

  • torch;
  • retort.

Helpful information! Retort burners are used in units that operate due to the processing of only pellets, and flare burners - in combined designs.

It is also worth noting that the supply of fuel raw materials to the bunker can be different. Depending on this, the following types of boilers are distinguished:

  • automatic;
  • partially automatic or semi-automatic;
  • mechanical.

The operation of boilers on pellets with automatic feeding is regulated by programming the boilers by specialists. In the second case, the oven requires manual adjustment. And mechanical feeding implies manual delivery of pellets to the bunker of the heating unit.

Features of the device pellet stove

The unit operating on fuel pellets includes three main departments:

  • furnace;
  • convective;
  • ash pan.

Furnace department. It is represented by a chamber in which solid fuel pellets are burned. It is equipped with a flare or retort gas burner and has two doors (inspection and cleaning).

convective section. It has a built-in heat exchanger. Depending on the location, there are three types of heat exchangers: vertical, horizontal, and also combined. In this section, the heat carrier (water) is heated with hot air, which is released during the processing of fuel pellets. The design of the heat exchanger can be either tubular or plate.

Pellet boilers in most cases are used only for heating purposes and have one circuit. However, there are units on the market with two circuits: heating and water heating.

Ash pan. This section of the oven is necessary for collecting waste that is generated during the processing of pellets. After that, they are removed through the cleaning door.

The above structural elements of a pellet solid fuel boiler

represent the main part of it. But for the operation of the furnace, one more important component is needed, namely: the APT prefix (automatic fuel supply).

Consider which devices are included in the APT prefix:

  • bunker;
  • screw;
  • fan.

The bunker is a metal tank into which fuel is poured for processing. From this tank, the fuel is supplied in parts to the furnace department. Depending on the location, there are two types of bunkers: internal (built-in) and external. The auger is an important element of the APT and is necessary for the batch feed of pellets. It is driven by a special device - a gearbox.

Note! The fan is needed so that in the absence of natural draft, the fuel does not stop burning.

And also the device of the pellet stove provides for the presence of a control panel. It is necessary in order to set the parameters of the solid fuel processing process and maintain the required temperature.

If necessary, the operation of the Valdai furnace can be controlled via GSM. Boiler equipment "Peresvet" have several differences from "Valdai", including:

  • the ability to control via the Internet;

  • more voluminous bunker;
  • work not only on pellets, but also on other types of fuel (for example, firewood).

The prices of pellet stoves from the Obschemash company start at 150,000 rubles. At the same time, as a rule, Valdai devices cost about 10,000 rubles more than Peresvet.

Furnaces that operate on pellets can be purchased at a specialized store or ordered online. The modern boiler market offers a huge selection of different models, both domestic and foreign. Before purchasing this unit, experts recommend paying attention to the following parameters:

  • power;
  • type of heat exchanger;
  • the number of contours;
  • bunker volume;
  • fuel supply;
  • additional functions.

Depending on the capacity of the pellet unit, they are divided into domestic and industrial. Models used for heating residential buildings may have different capacities (starting from 15 kW). The calculation of power is as follows: heating 1 m² requires at least 1 kW of electricity. The efficiency of various models of pellet boilers ranges from 85 to 97%. There is a direct dependence of this indicator on the quality of granulated fuel.

Heat exchangers that are equipped with pellet stoves can be of two types:

  • cast iron;
  • steel.

Cast iron have a long shelf life, as well as resistance to overheating. Of the minuses of the cast-iron device, it can be distinguished that it has a rather large mass and poor resistance to shock. In turn, steel models are more durable, however, they have a shorter service life.

To date, only a small number of models from the entire range of boilers are equipped with hot water circuits (DHW). For the implementation of heating water, which will be used for domestic needs, some designs are modernized with their own hands. Pellet boilers after improvement include additional storage tanks.

The volume of the bunker is an individual indicator, which depends on the peculiarities of the use of the boiler and the needs of the consumer. Delivery of pellets to the fuel compartment can be done in two ways:

  • with a screw;
  • vacuum supply.

Vacuum feeding is more efficient and has a low noise level.

Additional functions are needed to increase the efficiency of using the boiler, as well as for convenience. These include:

  • GSM module;
  • automatic ignition;
  • self-cleaning;
  • temperature sensors.

The self-cleaning system is very popular, as it requires minimal human intervention. A boiler with such a system must be checked no more than once a month.

Note! The average cost of pellets is 8,000 rubles per 1 ton. Biofuel costs are determined taking into account the individual operational features of the equipment and the needs of the owners.

Before purchasing this unit, experts recommend to study the reviews on the Internet. Pellet boilers of the same model can be produced in different configurations, which must also be remembered before buying.

Price overview of pellet boilers with automatic fuel supply

Foreign manufacturers of pellet stoves produce high-quality products. The cost of the most budgetary models of the Austrian company Wirbel is 110,000 rubles. South Korean, Czech and Latvian boiler models are more expensive.

Prices for foreign brands of pellet boilers:

brand name Manufacturer country Price in rubles

Products from domestic manufacturers are usually 2 times cheaper. The most expensive foreign models will cost buyers 1,500,000 rubles, while stoves from Russian companies rarely exceed 750,000 rubles. The cheapest models are produced by the Teplodar brand. The price of automatic pellet boilers "Cooper" in the basic configuration is approximately 80,000 rubles.

Prices for domestic brands of pellet boilers:

For people who live in areas without a centralized gas supply system, solid fuel pellet boilers are a good alternative. They are able to satisfy all the household needs of the residents of a private house. A high level of automation, high power and productivity make such furnaces very popular and in demand among consumers.

For many owners of country houses, one of the main tasks is to reduce the cost of their maintenance. This is especially true for those buildings where sewerage, heating and water supply systems operate offline. In the heating system, the installation of a solid fuel pellet boiler helps to reduce the cost of providing the house with the necessary amount of heat.

Such boilers appeared relatively recently, but they have already managed to occupy their niche in the boiler equipment market. Consumers are attracted by the relatively low cost of pellet boilers, the availability of fuel material and ease of maintenance, due to the automation of the heating process. Pellets are used as fuel, which are granules consisting of wood waste: pressed wood fragments, chips, shavings.

Design and principle of operation

The pellet boiler consists of a fuel bunker, automation and a burner. Pellets are delivered to the pre-furnace via an external screw, and from it, via an internal screw, they are fed to the burner nozzle. After the granules hit the nozzle, automatic ignition and fed pellets are burned completely.

In terms of calorific value, burning 1 kg of pellets is comparable to half a liter of diesel fuel and amounts to 5 kW / h. When compared with firewood, due to the high density of the pellets, their combustion occurs much more efficient and productive excluding the possibility of spontaneous combustion. In addition, ash cleaning can be done much less frequently, reducing this process to once a week. When using pellets as fuel, carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere are reduced, which leads to a decrease in the greenhouse effect.

Installation of a pellet boiler requires compliance some rules due to which it will be possible to avoid possible alterations during its operation:

  • it is more expedient to install the boiler in a separate room, for example, a basement or an extension;
  • the flooring in the boiler room must be made of ceramic tiles or concrete;
  • in the room that will be used as a boiler room, there must be enough free space for the possibility of repair and maintenance of the boiler;
  • the room must be dry, well ventilated, with a constant temperature in the range of +10 0 С.

An important indicator for any type of boiler equipment is its efficiency. In order to more clearly imagine the efficiency of a pellet boiler, let's compare it with other equipment used for heating a house. So the efficiency of wood is in the range of 35%, natural gas - 87.1%, electrical energy is 97%, and combustible pellets in the range from 86% to 93%, depending on the model of the pellet boiler.

This material will help to make a solid fuel boiler:

Automatic control mode

Pellet granules are stored in stand-alone bunker which is connected to the combustion chamber. Automation allows you to set a weekly program for feeding pellets into the boiler. In addition, the automation will turn the burner on or off according to the set program, which saves fuel consumption and maintains the set temperature depending on the time of day. Operation can be done either with the remote control or using the buttons on the display.

The bunker with a volume from 200 to 300 liters provides continuous operation of the boiler for three days. For the uninterrupted operation of a medium-sized boiler in the range of 25 kW, the daily rate is 5 kg. It is possible to install an external bunker, which will greatly increase the amount of pellet loading, thereby increasing the boiler's operating time without your intervention. Responsible for the operation of the burner control system, granules are fed into the combustion chamber in small batches, which eliminates the possibility of overheating. If it is required to turn off the boiler, then after pressing the functional button, its operation will automatically stop after 5-10 minutes, which is required for complete combustion of the loaded batch of pellets.

Environmental Safety

Thanks to special design of pellet boilers, the ecology of your premises is not threatened. In them, the circuit through which air is supplied for complete combustion of the fuel is located separately from the circuit through which the room is heated. Due to this design, there is no " burnout» oxygen and therefore you will always feel comfortable. Some users additionally take air from the boiler room, thereby drying and ventilating it. In addition, to benefits pellet boilers include the following factors:

  • energy-saving and low-noise fan, able to provide uniform effective circulation of warm air;
  • low level of electricity consumption, within 60 watts, for the operation of automation and a fan;
  • small amount of ash and soot, in comparison with solid fuel boilers for wood;
  • the boiler body does not heat up, so it is absolutely safe for animals and small children;
  • implementation automatic fuel loading from the bunker;
  • intelligent control system, timer and thermostat control and ensure continuous operation of the boiler, depending on the set program.

Disadvantages of pellet boilers

Speaking about the advantages of this type of solid fuel boilers, it is worth mentioning their disadvantages.

  • despite the fact that pellets are made from wood waste, the unit of heat released will cost more when compared with wood-burning boiler equipment;
  • store pellets required in a dry room, since under the influence of moisture they begin to swell and fall apart due to which the screws clog
  • for offline operation in remote suburban areas you will need to purchase a generator and additional equipment, what can make the purchase of a pellet boiler an expensive pleasure;
  • consumption of granules per month can be about 1 ton. Knowing the price of pellets in your region, it is not difficult to calculate how much it will cost you to heat a country house in winter. As practice shows, your costs will be comparable to the use of electric boilers and exceed the costs if you use natural gas as fuel.

Pellet boilers of the Pyrolysis Master brand have long been known in the Russian market of solid fuel boilers and enjoy well-deserved popularity due to their reliable and efficient design. In this article, the portal site shares with our readers an overview of the updated classic line of the PELLET series, which works on pellets of any quality, with a definition of their technical advantages and scope.

The current level of development of design options for pellet boilers practically excludes the possibility of any revolutionary innovations. Therefore, the developers in the updated series of boilers paid special attention to increasing the level of operating comfort, efficiency and durability, packing all the developments into a new modern boiler design.

The result was the mass production of a line with a very attractive set of advantages, the combination of which distinguishes this brand in our market.

Below we will try to give a more detailed overview of all the innovations, which, in our opinion, can be noted as significant and deserving of the attention of the end user and professionals in the heat engineering market.

Let's start with the first thing that catches your eye - as a result of the upgrade, the boiler received a new look and began to correspond to the best European analogues. This update has benefited the line, but we suggest moving on through the article to learn about more significant benefits, which are not few.

Let's start with boiler automation. The new controller, developed in Germany, is configured not only manually through the electronic panel with a digital screen built into the boiler, but also via SMS messages, the Internet or a room thermostat installed in one of the heated rooms. This range of possibilities gives the consumer maximum comfort from operation. However, modules for remote control of the boiler operation modes are not included in the basic package and are ordered when purchasing the boiler as additional options. In fairness, it should be noted that the basic equipment allows you to fully operate the boiler and for additional comfort options, the manufacturer does not force his client to overpay, but only gives such an opportunity to everyone.

Now let's talk a little about the updated burner of the pellet burner in question - the brand's developers also made significant improvements to the design of the burner device, which affected the strength properties, which made it possible to increase the service life of this module. This argument will be especially important for enterprises that are seriously thinking about the depreciation of operating equipment. The thickness of the metal of all surfaces exposed to direct flame was doubled, which had a positive effect on durability and reliability. Now the service life of the pellet burner fully corresponds to the service life of the boiler itself.

The improved air supply through the through holes of the cast-iron surfaces of the burner tray, as well as the increased area of the hearth (horizontal surface of the burner device) made it possible to bring the pellet combustion depth to 100% and, which is extremely important, opened up the practical possibility of operating the boiler on fine-fraction fuel of any quality. For the consumer, this means one thing - now boilers of this brand can be operated on pellets of any quality, purchasing even the cheapest ones available in your region. For the sake of objectivity, it is worth noting that this omnivorousness has the only limitation - the lack of the possibility of uninterrupted operation on straw pellets. However, like straw pellets, there are no pellet boilers on the domestic market that would efficiently burn fuel with such a high ash content, therefore our remark does not apply to the mass market of pellet equipment and may be relevant only for the most immersed in the subject matter experts.

For the most inquisitive, we suggest that you study the video material, which shows the process of the new burner.

Video work burners:

On this, for a sophisticated reader who constantly monitors the novelties of the market, the review of innovations in the PELLET series can be considered exhausted. For the rest, who are not indifferent to the topic raised, we suggest moving on in the text - we will share with you a general overview of Pyrolysis Master brand pellet boilers and the whole set of advantages that we managed to note for ourselves.

Updated Pyrolysis MasterPELLET 15-500

The development of a complete series of boilers was completed two years ago and now consists of 15 models with a capacity of 15-500 kW. Such a wide range of possible thermal power allows you to install this thermal equipment for heating buildings of various purposes with a heated area of up to 5 thousand square meters. meters, and with a cascade installation without limiting the size of buildings.

Any boiler plant of this model range structurally consists of:

  • a hot water boiler with a developed heat exchanger and a large heat carrier capacity;
  • metal bunker for loading pellets;
  • twin screw transport device;
  • pellet burner with blower fan;
  • security devices and automated control.

For efficient heating of the heat carrier, a five-way heat exchanger, unique for the Russian market, is installed inside the boiler. Its increased convective part allows boilers of this brand to show off the highest efficiency, and due to the large capacity of the coolant, the boiler is able to act as a buffer tank (heat accumulator) in the heating system. Also, a large capacity of the coolant allows you to additionally guarantee the exclusion of the possibility of boiling water in the boiler.

Scope of boilers Pyrolysis Master PELLET 15-500

Steel pellet boilers of this model range are designed for operation in water heating systems with forced circulation of the coolant and water heating in boilers for indirect or combined hot water preparation. The maximum heating temperature of the coolant is 90 degrees Celsius at a working pressure in the jacket of not more than 2.0 kg/cm2.

The choice of the required number of boilers and their power is based on a thermal calculation, depending on the amount of heat loss and hot water consumption.

Applied fuel

The burner for solid fuel boilers of the PELLET series provides efficient combustion of dry granular pellets of any quality, made from wood and agricultural waste, peat, waste paper and other raw materials. It is allowed to use sunflower husks, shavings, sawdust, etc. as associated fuels.

The delivery set of the extended DUO series includes a cast-iron grate that allows the combustion of ordinary firewood without additional intervention in the design of the firebox.

Design features of the line

Heat exchangers are made of low-alloy steel of the boiler class with a thickness of at least 6.0 mm, due to which the estimated service life of the furnace is at least 15 years. Inside the two-layer structure of the case there is a non-combustible thermal insulation that prevents heat loss to the surrounding space.

The spatial geometry of the heat exchanger provides a five-way passage of hot combustion products along the heating surfaces. At the same time, the heated coolant rises from the bottom up, gradually moving from the “cold” zone to the hotter one.

A large area of convective heating surfaces makes it possible to obtain very efficient heat removal and ensure the operation of the boiler plant with an efficiency of up to 92%. For the consumer, this mode of operation of the equipment means greater practical fuel savings and lower heating costs for the building.

Maintenance of the furnace and cleaning of soot deposits is carried out through convenient service hatches, the installation of which is provided for by the design.

Bunker for fuel and screw conveyor

The body of the bunker is welded from sheet steel and equipped with an opening loading hatch in the upper part. In the lower part of the structure there is an unloading window for supplying pellets to the screw conveyor. When developing the boiler plant, the volume of the fuel hopper for the basic configuration was selected so that one full load of fuel was sufficient to ensure the operation of the boiler at the rated heat load for 12-24 hours. However, if you wish, you can order the supply of a bunker with a volume of up to 10 cubic meters. meters inclusive, which will significantly increase the time of non-stop burning.

The placement of the fuel compartment relative to the position of the boiler is permissible on any side and is negotiated when placing an order for equipment. This solution makes it possible to organize convenient loading into the bunker, even in cramped boiler rooms.

Pellets are fed to combustion by means of two rotating augers, which are located at different heights in special transport channels. Such a spatial position with an air gap between the devices provides an increased level of safety and completely eliminates the breakthrough of the flame from the furnace into the bunker in the event of a possible stoppage of the rotation of the augers.

During operation, pellet granules fall onto the upper screw and with its help are transferred to the lower feed mechanism, which moves them to combustion in the furnace. The operation of the augers is automated and controlled separately.

Burner design

Horizontal retort burners, already proven by time and international experience (such an architecture of the burner device is massively used in boilers manufactured in Western Europe), migrated to the updated series, having received walls of the furnace tray reinforced with a greater thickness.

All surfaces in contact with the flame are made of heat-resistant cast iron and are capable of providing a long service life.

To ensure complete combustion of fuel, the hearth part of the burner has been increased, as well as the density of the channels for supplying combustion air. Automated operation of the burner is carried out depending on the required performance of the boiler plant. In addition, forced air injection into the burner device increases the pressure of flue gases inside the furnace and contributes to their better removal into the atmosphere.

TO design features of the burner should include:

  • the presence of automatic ignition;
  • the possibility of using additional types of fuel;
  • mechanical removal of ash and ash residues as they are deposited;
  • the use of thick metal, which increases the service life.

Summing up the acquaintance with the burner, we can say with confidence that the developers managed to reach the level of European analogues in this design and this tray-type device is able to provide a very efficient and practical operation of the boiler during the combustion of various types of solid fuel in the form of a pellet fraction.

Level of automation during operation

The automatic control system in PELLET series boilers is manufactured at a German microelectronics plant built in Poland. Today, this enterprise produces any type of automated systems for controlling solid fuel boilers of European manufacturers. The installed basic kit is able to provide regulation:

  • boiler performance based on the set air temperature in the room and the temperature control data of the heat carrier;
  • the amount of fuel supplied by turning on the rotation of the augers;
  • amount of combustion air through fan control;
  • operation of the circulation circuit;
  • the level of heating hot water for household needs in indirect heating boilers.

As part of additional operational capabilities, it can be completed with electronic control units for the boiler via digital communication channels. The consumer also has the option of equipping the boiler with a room thermostat installed in the room to control the temperature without leaving the bedroom or office.

Pellet boilers "Pyrolysis Master" for building heating

The new series of pellet stoves covers the possibility of operation in water heating systems for buildings of any size. Below we have tried to give a brief overview of the application groups.

Pellet boilers for cottages 100 - 500 sq. m:

This group of very popular household pellet stoves includes five models with a thermal output from 15 to 50 kW and is designed to heat the circulating coolant in private houses, summer cottages, cottages, as well as small retail facilities and industrial workshops with a heated area of up to 500 m2.

The steel bunker for storage and supply of fuel, which is included in the factory supply, is able to ensure the operation of the boiler at maximum heat load for 12-24 hours. The manufacturer, however, is ready to offer a complete set of a cat with an enlarged bunker for those buyers who need a longer autonomous operation of the boiler from one load of fuel. Storage of fuel reserves should take place in a fireproof and dry room separate from the boiler.

To remove combustion products, it is necessary to have a chimney with a calculated cross section and height. It can be installed freestanding, attached to an external wall, or integrated into building structures.

The complete automated control system is designed for operation of the boiler without constant human control. It is enough for the user to set a certain mode of operation, pour pellets into the bunker and give a command to ignite the burner. After that, the boiler will switch to automatic mode, and will constantly provide the heating system with thermal energy, provided that the fuel bunker is replenished in a timely manner.

Pellet boilers for rooms from 400 to 1500 sq. m

Five hot water pellet boilers of medium capacity are recommended for use in heating systems of public, industrial and commercial buildings with a heated area up to 1500 m2, as well as heating hot water used for industrial purposes.

The main argument in favor of this choice for commercial and industrial enterprises is the high economic performance of this power group. In boilers of this subgroup, due to the maximum efficiency (87-92%), there is a noticeable reduction in the cost of purchasing pellets, due to lower consumption, in comparison with boilers that have a 2-3-way heat exchanger. The maximum efficiency in the class, due to the 5-way heat exchanger, makes it possible to reduce the consumption of pellets and heating costs by 10-20%.

In addition, a high level of automation makes it possible to refuse from the work of permanent service personnel during the heating season.

Pellet boilers for buildings from 2000-5000 sq. m and more

Five of the most powerful boilers with a capacity of 200 to 500 kW can be used in heating systems for large industrial and commercial buildings. Their installation must be carried out by certified heat engineering companies with permits from self-regulatory building organizations based on approved design solutions.

The removal of combustion products must be carried out through a free-standing chimney with a calculated section. It is allowed to connect several boilers of different capacities to such a pipe.

Storage of fuel reserves should be carried out in a separate room or a large storage bunker, which is connected to the operational bunker of the boiler through an automated transport system. The equipment manufacturer is ready to complete the system with screw conveyors and large-capacity metal storage bins.

Loading the basic operational hopper ensures the operation of the equipment for 12-24 hours at rated load. At the request of the customer, its dimensions can be increased to 5 or 10 thousand liters.

Some Conclusions

In the architecture of Pyrolysis Master pellet boilers, the designers managed to implement a whole range of successful engineering solutions.

High efficiency resulting from the installation of a five-pass heat exchanger, an omnivorous tray type retort burner and a high level of quality automation.

These stars on the pagons of the design of the boilers of the considered brand allow the boilers of this brand to be on the same level not only with such Russian brands as FACI, or ROTEX, but also boldly displace many European brands imported into the country and offered for completely different money. However, the choice is up to the consumer, and we are very pleased that in the conditions of a modern market economy, the buyer has the freedom of this choice.
