Pyrolysis master. Industrial pellet boilers - Pyrolysis Master, FACI, Roteks. Video review of the design with a lower combustion chamber

Today, the X-TEPLO portal presents its readers with an expert review of the updated line of pellet boilers popular in Russia, manufactured under the brand. The brand of these boilers has long won the trust of the consumer in the market, so we do not pass by, share our impressions about the updated PELLET series.

It is impossible to achieve revolutionary changes in pellet boiler technology today, so all of them, which is logical, are concentrated around the comfort of operation, as well as aesthetic advantages. Pyrolysis Master went both ways.

The first thing that the consumer notices is the appearance, which has been dramatically improved thanks to the new design. According to our information, the manufacturer involved European specialists in the field of industrial design to develop the design.

The second and more significant change was the new boiler automation. The updated controller in the new Pyrolysis Master line of pellet stoves, manufactured at a German plant in Poland, can now not only control the operation of the boiler, but also supports remote control through all modern communication channels, including a room thermostat. Now the consumer can "command" the boiler through SMS messages, using a computer via the Internet, as well as directly from the bedroom, setting a comfortable air temperature on the room thermostat.

Improvements also affected the burner, which in boilers of this brand is one of the most unpretentious pellet burners on the market in relation to the quality of the fuel used. On the manufacturer's website, you can find a video of the operation of the burners, having studied which, you can be convinced of the omnivorous nature of this design. However, changes in boilers affected not only in terms of unpretentiousness. It's about durability.

We requested photos of the new burner, which show that all the "dry zones" of the steel surfaces of the burner have become 2 times thicker. For the consumer, this means one thing - the service life of the burner without replacing consumables will be the same as that of the boiler itself. This improvement, in our opinion, is key.

Burner operation example

For those who want to get more information about these boilers, we suggest moving down the article, where we will tell you more about the model range and design. It will be interesting, join us!

Model range of the PELLET series

A series of hot water boilers with burners for burning pellets of any quality, developed in 2015, includes 15 models, different in thermal output, but similar in design. The power range of all presented boilers of this series is in the range from 15 to 500 kW, which allows them to be used for heating domestic, public and industrial buildings with a total area of up to 5000 square meters. meters, and when installed in cascades, the heated area is not limited.

The design consists of the following main elements:

  • steel boiler with a 5-way heat exchanger - it should be noted, the only one on the market;
  • fuel bunker;
  • conveyor with two screws for feeding pellets into the furnace;
  • cast iron burner;
  • fan for air supply;
  • automatic and emergency safety devices.

As additional equipment, a chimney is required, the internal section of which depends on the power of the equipment and the maximum possible amount of combustion products.

Purpose of equipment

Steel heating boilers of the PELLET series are designed for heating the heat carrier in heating systems with a design operating temperature of up to 90 ° C and a pressure of up to 2.0 kg / cm 2, as well as for preparing hot water through an indirect heating heat exchanger. The choice of the required boiler power is made depending on the calculated heat losses of the building and the level of hot water consumption.

Fuels used

To obtain thermal energy, granular pellets of any quality are used as the main type. Additional types can be small wood waste, sunflower husks, etc. The PELLET DUO series provides for the possibility of burning firewood on the grate included in the delivery.

Design features

Especially for the PELLET series, a special design of the heat exchanger was developed, which forms a 5-way movement of hot flue gases inside the furnace. At the same time, the cooled coolant from the return line enters at the rear in the lower part of the heat exchanger and passes through it upwards, all the while moving towards flue gases with a higher temperature.

Thanks to this, it was possible to achieve a significant decrease in the temperature of the flue gases and increase the efficiency up to 92%. This indicator can be considered objective, because. the heat transfer area is really impressive.

In the words of the consumer, such a high efficiency means high savings in pellet consumption, and hence your money for heating.

The body is made of high quality boiler steel with a thickness of 6-8 mm and is characterized by high strength and durability. Thermal insulation inside the structure reliably retains heat and eliminates unacceptable losses to the surrounding space. For convenient maintenance of the furnace and cleaning it from soot, service hatches and sufficient distances between the elements of the heat exchanger are provided.

Steel fuel hopper and pellet feeder

In the basic configuration, the volume of the bunker is selected in such a way as to ensure continuous operation of any model during the day at maximum load without adding pellets. However, it is possible to order a bunker with an increased volume, up to 10 thousand liters. Loading of granules is made through the top reclining hatch.

Feeding into the furnace occurs by means of a mechanical device with two screws, which are located on axes of different heights. An air gap in the pellet supply channel to the burner brings the fire safety level up to 100%, eliminating the possibility of flame penetration through the transport channel into the pellet hopper.

The first upper auger takes the pellets from the fuel hopper and transfers them to the second auger below. The lower mechanism delivers pellets directly to combustion. The operation of the augers is separate and is performed automatically.

The fuel bunker can be installed on the right or left side of the boiler. This will provide more convenient access to the loading hatch in small boiler rooms.

Pyrolysis Master pellet burners use a horizontal type retort burner made of heat-resistant cast iron. Its design and operational advantages include:

  1. automatic ignition using a heating element;
  2. mechanical removal of ash residue after fuel combustion;
  3. forced air supply for combustion, which ensures complete combustion;
  4. long service life due to the use of heat-resistant materials of large thickness;
  5. the possibility of efficient combustion of various types of granulated and other crushed dry fuels.

The automated operation of the combustion air supply fan increases the pressure of the flue gases inside the furnace and improves the draft in the chimney.

Summarizing the above about the burner, it must be said that it is not unique in design and corresponds to many analogues used in boiler brands popular in Europe. It is worth noting that such a tray-type device for burning pellets and biomass is very practical among all the solutions offered on the market.

Automation and security

Boilers of the PELLET series are equipped with automation manufactured by the Polish-German microelectronics plant, which produces almost all automation for boilers manufactured in Europe. The basic set of automatic control provides:

  • timely rotation of screws for feeding granules;
  • coolant temperature control;
  • regulation of the amount of air supplied to combustion;
  • air temperature control and required power level;
  • control of the circulation pump of the heating system;
  • regulation of hot water temperature in an indirect boiler or other indirect heat exchangers.

Additionally, each boiler of this series can be equipped with a control device via the Internet or sending SMS messages. If necessary, a room thermostat can be supplied with the ability to control the temperature in the room. Safe operation is ensured by the installation of a safety relief valve and an emergency thermostat.

Recommendations for the use of PELLET boiler systems in heating systems

Pellet boilers can be considered as alternative sources of thermal energy that can provide cost-effective heat supply instead of installed gas equipment. They are operated in a completely autonomous mode or when connected in parallel with already installed gas equipment. For the use of solid fuel devices, it is necessary to provide for a separate fireproof and well-ventilated room.

Boilers Pyrolysis Master PELLET 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50

This group of boilers is designed to provide heat in the heating systems of residential buildings of individual buildings with a total area of up to 500 m 2. The presence of a basic fuel bunker will ensure efficient combustion of pellets during the day without reloading. At the request of the customer, it is possible to equip the hopper with a larger volume, which will increase the time between its periodic downloads.

To ensure normal operation, two rooms are required:

  • a furnace or boiler room in which a boiler, a fuel bunker, a circulation pump and other necessary equipment are installed;
  • fireproof ventilated warehouse for fuel storage.

The chimney can be free-standing or built-in (attached) to the building structures of the building.

The level of equipment automation allows the boiler to be operated with minimal human intervention. You simply pour the required amount of pellets into the fuel bunker, set the desired coolant temperature on the automatic controller, and that's it - the automation independently ignites the pellets, brings the boiler to operating mode and maintains the temperature you set. If pellets are added to the bunker in a timely manner, then the autonomous operation of the boiler will last until the end of the heating season.

Boilers PELLET 60, 80, 100, 120 and 160

A group of boilers with a heat output of 60-160 kW is designed for heating public, office, industrial, commercial and other buildings with a total area of 600-1600 m 2 .

Perhaps this is the most economical group of boilers, which is a strong argument for the commercial sector when choosing a boiler model. At high capacities, Pyrolysis Master boilers with high efficiency (92%) provide significant fuel savings, and in monetary terms, this is 10-20% less than the cost of buying pellets. Not to mention the opportunity to purchase the cheapest ones - any will burn. It should be noted that fuel costs are approximate and are taken in comparison with boilers that do not have such a developed heat exchanger.

Boilers PELLET 200, 250, 320, 400 and 500

This group of the most powerful boiler equipment with a capacity of 200-500 kW is designed for operation as part of heating systems for buildings with a total area of 2000 m 2 and the ability to work in cascades, which will allow heating any given area. Installation can only be carried out on the basis of agreed design solutions and by specialized installation organizations with the appropriate SRO approvals.

To store the necessary fuel reserves, a separate well-ventilated room should be provided. A solid fuel boiler plant can be placed in the same furnace together with gas or other types of boilers. In this case, the use of a single group of circulation pumps is allowed.

Unlike gas equipment, solid fuel pellet boilers are allowed to be installed in rooms whose floor level is below ground level.

The operation of pellet mills of this power group implies the organization of transportation of pellets to the operational bunker through automated transport systems. The manufacturer is ready to offer large bunkers for the main warehousing with screw conveyors to the operational bunker of the boiler.

Loading pellets into a complete fuel bunker is able to provide stable heating during the day at maximum load. At the request of the customer, the installation can be equipped with a bunker of increased volume up to 5000 or 10000 liters, which will significantly increase the pause time between periodic loads.

Conclusion

For many years, our company has been professionally engaged in heating systems for private houses, cottages and commercial facilities, using boilers for wood coal and long-burning pellets as heat sources.

In recent years, we have seen an active growth in demand and the popularization of the so-called "pyrolyzers". Such equipment, like all solid fuel heaters, has a water circuit for the coolant.

In Moscow and the Moscow Region, the demand for installations of this class is growing every year despite the crisis, and there are good reasons for that. The main reason for choosing for a private house in favor of such heating devices is the economy and comfort of operation.

As for the economic benefit - it is centered around reducing the cost of firewood, briquettes, or coal. On any of the listed types of fuel, this group of heaters is allowed to reduce the cost of purchasing fuel by at least 30%. This indicator helps to recoup your purchase in just a few seasons of operation, which is not possible with the use of classic designs that run on pellets, wood or coal.

Comfort of use lies in the duration of burning, the frequency of loading and cleaning. Due to the reduced consumption of fuel raw materials, the operating time of the "pyrolyzer" on one tab increases by 2-3 times, in comparison with cheap popular constructs, and reaches 6 hours. In boilers with top burning and 12 hours in gas generators with bottom burning. The method of fuel combustion contributes to the low formation of dry residue (ash), which must be periodically cleaned out of the furnace and ash box. This fact also has a beneficial effect on the comfort of using the heater - the owners of such heating installations have to clean the ash much less often.

Samples with a lower combustion chamber for pyrolysis gases have the longest operating time from one laying of firewood. The design of such installations implies the presence of a pressurization fan or a smoke exhauster and a nozzle. Of course, gas generators of this type are volatile. You can also emphasize the high cost of such installations. Models of this design are at least 2 times more expensive than heat generators with an upper chamber for burning pyrolysis gases.

Products of this design are represented in our catalog by several brands, most of which are European and only two of them come from Ukraine. For European brands, we can note Czech WATTEK and Atmos, German Buderus, Bulgarian SunSystem. According to Ukrainian brands, these are products of the popular MotorSich brand and BTS gas generators.

In terms of Czech brands, we want to single out Wattek as more technologically advanced and advanced equipment. German Buderus is the only brand from Germany that is represented on our market. We have no installation experience for the Bulgarian brand, but the quality of the products is at a high level. According to brands from Ukraine, these are two different products. Each with its own advantages, however, in the domestic sector, we tend to BTS brand due to the available refractory materials used in the gas generation chamber and nozzle.

The design of gas generators with a lower combustion chamber:

Video review of the design with a lower combustion chamber:

Now let's talk about the most common gas generators in Russia with an upper combustion chamber for pyrolysis gases. These are heat generators of Russian origin, produced at several plants at once, most of which are located in the Kostroma Region. One manufacturer is located in the Moscow region.

Russian pyrolyzers also use the principle of "dry distillation" of solid fuels, which allows them to correspond to the class of pyrolysis combustion heating devices. But the operation of these installations is based on natural traction. Russian equipment belongs to the upper combustion gas generators, since the combustion zone of the resulting gases is located above the pyrolysis area (fuel decomposition into gas and ash). The resulting gaseous fuel enters by means of natural draft into the fuel loading chamber above, where it mixes with heated secondary air and ignites, burning more deeply than with direct combustion from firewood.

The equipment of this group is much cheaper, due to which it has become very popular in our country.

Among the popular brands are Bourgeois-K, Trayan, Lavoro in the household segment. Industrial installations of this design are very popular in the trade mark "Pyrolysis Master".

In our opinion, we give preference to Trajan brand products for domestic use, due to their progressive design, long service life and the most attractive price among all the compared brands.

The equipment of Trayan brand really has the best structural characteristics, due to which the service life of the furnace and the efficiency are the best in the segment.

The most popular and promoted products in the domestic segment today are gas generators of the Bourgeois-K brand.

Upper combustion chamber design:

Summing up, we would like to tell you a little about the numbers and about what to choose. Russian heating appliances burn for 6-8 hours on one tab. European and Ukrainian - up to 12 hours. Despite the fact that gas generators with a lower chamber are much more expensive, this design works more efficiently and is less capricious to the chimney and heating system.

For those who do not want to experience difficulties in operation, it is better not to save ...

There are a large number of companies engaged in the production of industrial boilers on the domestic market. Especially popular today are industrial-type units operating on pellets. In this article, we will talk about three Russian manufacturers that produce such equipment: Pyrolysis Master, Faci, Roteks.

How industrial pellet boilers work

Some types of industry: oil refining, woodworking furniture, etc. need a lot of steam. Industrial pellet boilers are ideal for this purpose. Heat generators produce enough thermal energy to heat the working premises and provide the necessary amount of steam and hot water.

Scope of steam boilers on pellets

The industrial pellet boiler is mainly used in industry to produce steam. The most demanded equipment is for the following activities:
  • Refinery - Refined products are heated with steam to improve fluidity and facilitate transportation through the pipeline.
  • Woodworking industry - with the help of steam, optimal conditions are created for drying especially valuable wood species. The percentage of rejects allowed when drying boards and timber is reduced.
  • Furniture industry - some types of boards (fibreboard, etc.) used in the manufacture of furniture require steam.

The industrial pellet steam boiler is versatile and can operate on any wood waste, and even wood dust, which makes it especially beneficial in the woodworking and furniture industries.

The device and principle of operation of a steam pellet boiler

Industrial steam boilers of high power on fuel pellets are a synthesis of two types of heating equipment. The process of heating the steam and the liquid medium of the coolant is carried out in the same way as in other steam units, but for combustion, pellets are used as the main type of fuel. This is reflected in the technical characteristics of industrial pellet boilers: performance, battery life, etc. In simple terms, the design of steam units, without complex technical details, can be explained as follows:
  • The fuel is burned at a temperature of 1800°C.
  • Heated flue gases are fed into the convection shaft, where they are pre-cooled to 800°C, and after passing through a special system of chimneys, to 100°C.
  • Inside the case there are two containers with water. The first serves to supply the coolant to the heating system, the second to produce steam.
Industrial solid fuel pellet boilers of high power, usually have a water tube design. The design of such systems is more complicated, but provides increased production of steam and heat output for heating systems.

How pellets are burned

The technology for burning pellets in industrial steam boilers is practically no different from that used in household units, with the exception of the increased amount of fuel necessary to maintain the system's performance. Supply and combustion occurs as follows:
  1. Pellets are fed to the burner.
  2. With the help of electric ignition, the pellets are set on fire.
  3. To increase the intensity of combustion and temperature, air is forcibly supplied to the burner. Thanks to oxygen, the fire torch has the necessary structure to maintain a stable temperature in the furnace.
Pellet burners for steam boilers are connected to automation that fully controls the combustion process. The system is controlled from the control panel or using a remote controller.

An important feature of steam engines is the combustion of fuel at extremely high temperatures. To avoid overheating, it is required to evenly distribute air flows and heat inside the furnace. For this, a grate of a special design is used.

The grate allows the use of other types of fuel (sawdust, wood chips and wood dust) during operation. To prevent warping of the metal, water cooling of the grate is provided.

Continuous Pellet Feeding System

The supply of pellets to an industrial boiler is carried out using a mechanical screw or pneumatic transmission. Fuel pellets are poured into a separate room connected by a transport line to the unit. By means of an auger or pneumatic device (worm gear), the pellets are picked up in the room and sent to the burner. The fuel supply is controlled by automatics. Depending on the heating, the pellet delivery rate increases or decreases. Even pellet industrial boilers, with the help of this device, can work offline throughout the heating season. To maintain operation, it is required to fill the fuel hopper from time to time, as well as to clean the chimney and furnace walls from carbon deposits.

Ability to use wood chips, sawdust, briquettes

Although pellets remain the main type of fuel in steam units, other types of wood fuel can also be used:
  • Briquettes.
  • Chips.
  • Woodworking waste.
Of course, the boiler will not work solely on wood dust. But if necessary, you can add it in a ratio of 30% of the total fuel volume. To achieve maximum heat transfer, sawdust and wood chips should not contain more than 20-25% moisture.

Which pellets are best for steam boilers

The quality of the pellets affects the performance and life of the boiler. The use of gray fuel pellets, which have a higher percentage of ash content, leads to the following:
  • Pellet consumption - it would seem that the purchase of cheaper fuel pellets helps to save money due to less money needed to purchase them. In fact, inexpensive pellets have a lower calorific value, which significantly reduces heat transfer and, accordingly, leads to an increase in fuel consumption.
  • Equipment failure - gray pellets, when burned, leave a larger amount of ash that settles directly under the burner or at the exit of the screw transmission. The accumulated soot leads to failure of the bearings, jamming of the screw transmission and its burnout.

The weak point of industrial pellet boilers for steam production is the susceptibility of the screw transmission system to wear, due to the use of low-quality pellets. Since white pellets have the best calorific value, they do not affect the performance of the system so much, it is best to use them during operation.

The consumption of pellets during the heating of a steam boiler per month can be easily calculated from the heated area of the room. Approximate costs for each m² will be about 6.5 kg. For more information, see the technical documentation of the units.

The main manufacturers of pellet boilers for industry

The choice of a pellet-fired steam boiler should be based on more than just technical specifications and performance. Equally important is the manufacturer of the equipment. All the proposed equipment can be divided into two categories: those that are made abroad and on the territory of the Russian Federation:
  • Foreign pellet boilers for heating industrial premises - several manufacturing companies can be distinguished: FAKO, LIBERATOR POWER, etc. Recently, modular boiler houses made in China have become widespread. The products of the manufacturer Heguo are in demand.
  • Domestic manufacturers of pellet-fired steam boilers are worse represented. Most manufacturers focus on home use systems. Among a dozen domestic factories, one can single out the SLON company, which produces simple but reliable steam boilers.
In most cases, the purchase of a large capacity steam plant is made to order, after providing the technical characteristics of the building and a detailed description of the necessary additional functions that the purchased equipment must support.

Advantages of steam pellet equipment

Wood pellet boilers significantly reduce heating and steam costs. Installation is carried out in any room suitable for this purpose. If necessary, you can purchase a block-modular boiler room. The advantages of steam pellet equipment are:
  • Versatility - in addition to the main fuel - pellets, boilers effectively operate on almost any solid fuel: wood chips, sawdust, wood dust. Especially beneficial is the use of heating systems of this type in the furniture and woodworking industries, since a large amount of waste remains in the production process, which can be used to heat rooms and produce steam.
  • Profitability - due to the special design of the boiler, which uses the heat released by the fuel during combustion and the energy of the exhaust gases. The consumption of granules is reduced by about a third, while the heat transfer remains at the same level.
  • Simple operation of the industrial pellet boiler. After connection, the heating and steam generation system works offline. The owners of the module are required to monitor the level of pellets in the storage, as well as clean the combustion chamber, burner, grate and auger from accumulated soot. Some models have a self-cleaning system. In such boilers, maintenance is required no more than once every 2-3 weeks.
  • Functionality - steam boilers are specific equipment, mainly used for the simultaneous production of heat and steam. Some models are additionally equipped with a steam generator, which allows you to get very hot dry steam.
For industrial purposes, this type of equipment is the best choice, as it can significantly reduce maintenance costs.

Disadvantages of industrial pellet boilers

The reviews that have appeared on the operation of pellet-fired steam heat generators help to establish several main disadvantages inherent in each model of equipment:
  • Water supply - for the operation of the boiler, it is necessary to supply water of a strictly defined temperature, which has been cleaned. Be sure to install a primary water treatment system.
  • Restrictions during operation. If during the production process, steam is not needed, it is better to refuse to purchase this type of equipment. Alternatively, you can create an additional heating system that runs on steam.
The disadvantages of steam boilers are mainly related to their design features and applications. For furniture and oil processing, food production, steam heat generators are the optimal solution to the issue of heating and steam production.

Pellet industrial boiler for heating industrial premises

It is logical to assume that the choice of a pellet boiler for a private house and for a large industrial premises are two opposite sides. In this article, we will consider the main points of choice and the specifics of the operation of a pellet boiler for a production facility. Also, you will have to take into account the future labor and financial costs for the equipment of the boiler room and the operation of the Lavoro pellet unit.

Why is a pellet boiler so good in production?

This is an excellent gas savings, which in our time will be too expensive for the full heating of a large area.

Durability and high strength of the unit. Industrial pellet boilers in general are highly wear-resistant, since economics and versatility are important for the owner.

The pellet unit is very unpretentious and omnivorous: any organic fuel in the pellet and briquette format, including even sunflower husks, will suit it.

Why are pellet boilers rapidly gaining popularity among owners of industrial enterprises?

As we mentioned above, the first and main reason is the high cost of natural gas, which is successfully offset by the cheapness and availability of wood fuel.

Also pellet mechanisms "Lavoro eco" in the production have a truly great power, reliability and efficiency!

An autonomous pellet boiler system, which is also connected to an automatic fuel supply, is the best engineering solution for heating a large room. In fact, this is a complex and well-thought-out set of mechanisms and devices that frees the owner's hands and allows you to save a lot, providing maximum power and a high percentage of efficiency.

Another advantage of purchasing a Lavoro pellet boiler is the availability of wood fuel. For example, if you are going to buy a heating system for your woodworking plant, then you will not have big problems with this issue. Plus, you'll save a lot of money. Almost all enterprises of this type (also pulp and paper) use waste from their own production as fuel. What is not a convenient and profitable option?

Installation of one or more pellet units in production solves two problems at once: providing heat and hot water.

How to choose good quality pellets for industrial premises heating?

There should not be too much dust in the pellet packaging.

The granules should not have swollen parts and strong cracks.

Pellets should not be gray. This shows that they are stuck. The normal color for pellets ranges from yellow to brown.

Is it possible to determine the quality of granules even by smell? It should be pleasant, woody, slightly sweet. There should not be any impurities of chemical odors in them.

for the supply of boiler equipment based on a pellet boiler of the KPU brand, running on biofuel (wood or peat pellets) or wood chips, relative humidity up to 18%.

Currently LLC NKZ Pro-Energy offers a series of pellet boilers with capacities: 100, 200, 300, 500, 750, 1000 and 1500 kW. They are intended for heating and hot water supply of individual houses, cottages and small farms with a total volume of premises up to 51,800 m3. In automatic mode, both fuel pellets and wood waste (sawdust, wood chips) with a relative humidity of up to 18% are used as fuel. The basic set includes a boiler, a bunker, a separate automatic control panel (not built-in).

1.Description of the scope of supply.

The pellet boiler of the KPU brand has a design that combines a firebox and a heat exchanger, consists of the following main components:

1.1. The combustion space of the boiler is located inside the cylindrical heat exchanger. In the lower part of the furnace there is a burner with a push grate, into which fuel is supplied by a screw conveyor. During operation, the grates move back and forth, pushing the fuel. Fuel is supplied to the screw conveyor from the bunker. The burner is equipped with a branch pipe for connecting an emergency fire extinguishing system, which supplies water to the auger when the temperature in it exceeds a predetermined value. The firebox is equipped with a firebox door through which the burner is serviced. The furnace door has a viewing window for monitoring the combustion process. The under-grate space is subjected to periodic cleaning. The frequency of cleaning depends on the type of fuel and is determined during operation. The blower fan supplies air to the burner. Adjustment of the amount of air is provided from the control panel during commissioning and depends on the type of fuel and the required power of the boiler. The heat exchanger with fire tubes is located vertically around the furnace space. The coolant (water) is injected into the heat exchanger from below, the flue gases, descending, wash the inner walls of the pipes, where heat exchange takes place. At the outlet of the heat exchanger in its upper part, a safety group is installed, which includes a safety valve, a pressure gauge and a ball valve. The safety valve is used to release excess steam (water) from the boiler when the pressure in it rises above the calculated one. The manometer is used to control the pressure in the heat exchanger. The ball valve is designed to bleed the steam-air mixture from the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is equipped with a cleaning hatch located on top, which provides access to the heat exchange surfaces of the fire tubes when cleaning the heat exchanger from deposits (recommended service area above the boiler is 1.5 meters). The heat exchanger has thermal insulation, which reduces the loss of thermal energy to the environment. To remove ash from under the heat exchanger, a cleaning hatch is used.

1.2. The flue gas cleaning system, complete with a smoke exhauster, is designed for dry cleaning of gases emitted during certain technological processes, including the combustion of wood fuels and peat. The cyclone consists of a housing with a guide screw, a storage hopper on a frame structure with gas ducts and a smoke exhauster. At the bottom of the cyclone there is a receiving container for collecting ash deposits, into which particles of solid waste enter due to centrifugal forces. Each cyclone is supplied for a boiler of a certain capacity.

1.3. For automatic fuel supply to the combustion unit, an operational bunker with a screw conveyor is used. The operational bunker is a cone-shaped metal container with a loading volume of 0.6-2.2 m3. The bunker has a hatch for maintenance and a technological opening for supplying fuel to the screw conveyor, which is closed by a gate when the boiler is in manual mode. To regulate the amount of fuel supplied in order to avoid overloading the bunker, volume sensors are used, with the help of which the operation of the entire fuel supply system is controlled from the control panel of the automatic system. To drive the screw conveyor, Italian-made motor-reducers are used, which have a good service factor and do not require frequent maintenance. Dosage of the amount of fuel is automatically adjusted using a frequency converter from the control panel of the boiler complex. The mechanized fuel supply device is equipped with a humidification system, as well as a fire-fighting system.

1.4. The automatic control system of the automated control system based on the MITSUBISHI programmable controller and frequency converters allows automatic ignition of the boiler, regulation of the combustion process and fuel supply in automatic mode. Measurement and regulation takes place according to the main three parameters: the temperature of the direct and return supply of the coolant, the temperature of the exhaust gases. Monitoring of emergency temperatures, issuance of control commands, light and sound signaling of emergency situations, the possibility of archiving data is carried out. Upon additional request, it is possible to supply a heat meter.

All necessary sensors are included in the package.

1.5. To remove flue gases to higher layers of the atmosphere, a chimney with a height of 7.3 - 16 meters is used. The pipe consists of a thick-walled support section and intermediate sections, which are connected to each other through angle profile flanges. A cleaning hatch and a steam trap are provided at the base of the pipe. The pipe is fastened with three braces, depending on the location. When located near a residential sector, the height of the pipe can be increased to 21 meters.

Today, in economical Europe, solid fuel boilers (pellet and pyrolysis) are one of the most popular types of heating. A solid fuel boiler does not require electricity, gas or liquid fuels; ordinary dry wood or coal is enough for it. In this, it is not much different from a conventional stove, but much more economical, more efficient and safer.
Solid fuel boilers are perhaps the most independent and independent way of heating country houses, because solid fuel boilers are in no way connected with engineering communication systems: neither with electricity, nor with gas mains, and even more so with centralized heating systems. Consequently, solid fuel boilers are absolutely indispensable in remote remote settlements.
Despite the fact that such boilers, in their essence, are very similar to a conventional furnace, they are usually equipped with modern automation systems, equipped with all the necessary sensors responsible for equipment safety, temperature and other important parameters.

One of the important classifications according to which solid fuel boilers are divided is depending on the material of manufacture of the heat exchanger. There are cast-iron and steel boilers that run on solid fuels.
Cast iron solid fuel boilers considered to be more durable. Their peculiarity is that they heat up for a long time, but at the same time they cool down slowly, but they must be operated with extreme caution, because cast iron is a material that is quite fragile and can crack from a sharp temperature drop. Fortunately, at present, modern technology has made it possible to improve cast iron boilers and reduce their fragility.
Steel solid fuel boilers are more resistant to the "whims" of temperature, but have another drawback - weakness to corrosion, which is usually caused by condensate. Cast iron boilers do not suffer from such a problem. It is this disadvantage that makes solid fuel boilers with a steel heat exchanger less durable, but cheaper. In any case, the duration of operation that solid fuel boilers with a steel heat exchanger have depends on the quality of the steel and its thickness.
Boilers made of sheet steel are less susceptible to destruction from a sudden change in temperature, since steel is a ductile material. The walls of such a boiler are thinner than the walls of cast iron, and in order not to get burned, the outer part of the body is isolated from the inner part with modern non-combustible materials. So if you live in a country house permanently, then it is best to purchase a solid fuel boiler made of cast iron. And if you live in a city, but visit the house and heat it only during your presence, then it makes sense to install a steel boiler. A steel solid fuel boiler can also be used as an auxiliary boiler if there are often interruptions in gas or electricity in your area. Some elements of the boiler, if desired, can be replaced or new ones added in order to switch to a new type of fuel (gas or liquid fuel). True, one nuance must be taken into account here - the efficiency of such a converted boiler will be slightly lower than that of a boiler specially designed to work with gas.

Pellet boilers

It is a complex engineering device that heats the coolant by burning derivatives of wood or coal fuel: briquettes or granules (pellets).

The operation of solid fuel boilers in automatic mode allows not only to reduce operating costs by shifting most of the maintenance and control of equipment operation to automation, but also, using a solid fuel boiler with automatic loading, to achieve a level of comfort in using gas boilers. Such solid fuel boilers (automatic) are still a rarity on the Russian market, but given the promising opportunities, we can assume a great future for them.
Pellets are made from wood waste, which is crushed and pressed into small pellets in the shape of a cylinder. Their size is from 6 to 14 mm in diameter and not more than 70 mm in length. For the production of this type of fuel, chemical components are not used, and therefore pellets are an environmentally friendly material and at the same time have a high calorific value. The use of pellets makes it possible to reduce the presence of a person in the operation of the boiler by automating the process of feeding pellets into the boiler. When transported in a car and stored in a private house, they take up little space. Pellet heating equipment is produced abroad, and in Russia. Domestic models, as a rule, are cheaper than imported ones, while foreign ones have more service functions.

Pellet boiler device

Pellet boilers are a steel structure, the components of which are the body, burner, furnace, heat exchanger, fuel tank and chimney. After burning the fuel, hot gas is formed; when it leaves the furnace, it flows around the heat exchanger and transfers almost all of its heat to it. The "smart" design of pellet boilers is the key to an amazingly high efficiency (at least 85%). The power of the devices varies from 15 kW to several megawatts. The heat exchanger is made of various materials, such as cast iron or steel.

How do pellet boilers work?

Boiler maintenance is easy. It is enough to load fuel into the bunker. Pellets are fed into the furnace from a special bunker by an automatic conveyor. The capacity of the regular bunker provides the boiler with fuel for about 7 days, then the storage is refilled. If desired, this process can be fully automated. The fuel is ignited automatically. This process involves an electric heating element and a fan that blows air into the furnace. When the fuel burns steadily, the ignition system turns off.

Varieties of pellet boilers

  1. Equipment designed only for the use of pellets;
  2. Conditionally combined boilers - usually work on biogranules, but, as a "reserve" fuel, they are able to accept briquettes or firewood for a short time;
  3. Universal coppers - can work at any solid fuel. It is enough to dismantle the pellet burner, and the device is ready to be loaded with traditional solid fuel.

Benefits of heating with pellets

  • Biogranules are almost completely recycled. Moreover, a negligible amount of combustion products is removed automatically, no more than 1 - 2 times a month;
  • Feeding pellets and the whole process of work (receiving heat and hot water) are fully automated;
  • The cost of pellets is lower than other solid fuels. Biogranules are always available on the market. Buying a "refueling" for pellet equipment is not a problem;
  • Ideal for heating a private house, cottage, where there is no possibility of heating with gas.

Pyrolysis or gas boilers

Pyrolysis boilers are able to burn wood gas produced during the combustion of firewood, thereby significantly increasing their productivity and efficiency. The fuel in them burns out almost completely, leaving almost no ash. In them, the wood is first completely dried at high temperature and a small amount of oxygen, turning into charcoal and a volatile part - pyrolysis gas, which then burns with high efficiency in the furnace. As it burns, the gas interacts with active carbon and, as a result, the smoke at the exit from the boiler contains much less harmful impurities.
Compared to the classical combustion method, pyrolysis boilers use the unique ability of solid fuel to turn into a gaseous state at high temperature and in the absence of air. Pyrolysis boilers have a slightly higher price than their classical counterparts with the same power, however, high efficiency and ease of maintenance justify the cost of the purchased boiler in the shortest possible time.

Pyrolysis boiler - device and principle of operation

The pyrolysis boiler works like this: fuel (firewood) is put into the upper chamber, ignited, the chamber door closes and the boiler fan turns on. As soon as the temperature inside the upper chamber rises above 250 ° C, the wood begins to char, releasing generator gas that enters the lower chamber through the nozzle. Here, secondary air is mixed with the gases obtained as a result of pyrolysis by pressurization and they burn out, returning some of the heat to the lower level of the fuel bookmark. Secondary air - an air flow that envelops the fuel in the upper chamber on the sides or enters through special slots in the door of the lower chamber of the pyrolysis boiler. Heat is taken from the pyrolysis boiler and transferred to the coolant (water or air) through the contact of the pipeline with the coolant with the bottom of the lower chamber of the boiler. From one full load of the fuel (upper) chamber, the pyrolysis boiler generates heat from 6 to 12 hours, depending on the quality of the fuel and heat needs.

Fuel for pyrolysis boiler

In practice, solid fuel pyrolysis boilers can work effectively on any type of solid fuel, whether it is wood, peat, brown and black coal. Of course, the duration of complete combustion for each type of fuel is different and it looks like this:

  • soft wood - combustion time is not more than 5 hours;
  • solid wood - burning time about 6 hours;
  • brown coal burns in about 8 hours;
  • black coal burns up to 10 hours.

Pyrolysis boilers are most efficient when working on dry wood. It is dry firewood with a length of 45-65 cm, the moisture content of which does not exceed 20%, that not only provides the maximum power of the boiler, but also extends its service life. Buying pyrolysis heating boilers, without doubting the effectiveness of their work, can be safely bought by those who have the opportunity to buy dry firewood or at least dry them if the humidity is exceeded. If there is no confidence in this possibility, then you can choose a modern high-tech heating boiler, in the furnace of which 80% of highly efficient pyrolysis fuel combustion and 20% of traditional combustion are combined. Modern combined boilers provide high-quality combustion of not only firewood, but also wood waste, peat, coal or any mixture thereof with a moisture content of up to 50%.

Advantages of pyrolysis boilers:

  • high efficiency achieved by two stages of fuel combustion, as a result, complete combustion of fuel and high efficiency - up to 90%;
  • work from one tab for a rather long time, up to 12 hours (for ordinary wood-burning boilers, about 3-4 hours, but for upper-burning boilers, this figure is higher - from 30 hours on wood to 6-7 days on coal).
  • the possibility of automatic regulation of parameters, the combustion process allows automation, is easily regulated and controlled;
  • less often it is necessary to clean the ash pan and gas ducts;
  • integrates into almost any heating system without requiring any major changes;
  • laying of unchopped logs is allowed;
  • environmental friendliness achieved by burning a larger number of harmful substances in the lower chamber, so that they are not emitted into the atmosphere;
  • very high heating rate of the coolant, water or air, to a comfortable temperature of 60°C.

Disadvantages of pyrolysis boilers:

  • the need for electricity necessary for the operation of the fan (smoke exhauster);
  • high cost compared to conventional heating boilers;
  • the need for low moisture content of fuel, firewood should have a moisture content not higher than 20%;
  • in work they require a high load, when it drops below 50%, combustion stability is disturbed, tar accumulates in the smoke channel;
  • all models of pyrolysis heating devices are single-circuit units that do not heat water for domestic needs.

And yet, the high environmental friendliness, efficiency and economy achieved due to the complete combustion of fuel and scanty heat losses fully compensate for the shortcomings of pyrolysis gas-generating boilers and the circle of their admirers is steadily expanding.

Pyrolysis Master TM is ready to offer a series of long burning boilers based on gas generating technology. Equipment modifications make it possible to work on heating both industrial facilities and private individual houses. Such systems are especially effective in the woodworking industry, since they allow the use of production waste as an energy carrier.

Principle of operation and design features

Due to their design, gas-fired boilers are a fairly cheap source of heat energy conversion. The main advantage here is a multi-chamber system that allows gas generation from solid fuels. The resulting gas, passing through the stage of efficient combustion, transfers the maximum amount of heat through the heat exchanger.

Distribution of chambers of the gas generating boiler

The heating equipment of this brand is equipped with four chambers, each of which performs its specific function: The main chamber for loading and low-temperature impact on the fuel volume. Here, solid fuel is separated into combustion gases and non-combustible residue (ash);

The ash pan or ash chamber, being under loading, has the function of collecting ash; High temperature combustion chamber. This is where the combustion takes place. Thanks to the special design of the air nozzles, the process becomes complete and environmentally friendly. The walls of the chamber are protected with fireclay bricks, which increases the working life of the boiler; Chamber with tubular heat exchanger. Here, the most efficient removal of thermal energy and its transfer to the coolant takes place. Due to this, the gases entering the chimney are already almost cold. Gas generating boilers Pyrolysis Master TM: equipment series

Boilers of this brand are presented in two produced series.

Series "Premium". The design of such a boiler is made of 10 mm thick heat-resistant steel grade 09G2S. For greater protection and longer service life, the inner walls of the combustion chamber are protected with fireclay bricks. This provides the necessary thermal insulation and prevents the metal parts from over-expanding. The large area of the heat exchanger creates conditions for optimal removal of thermal energy, thanks to which the surface of the boiler remains cold, and the efficiency is maximum.

Series "Standart". The boilers of this line are not inferior in quality and technical equipment. The difference here will be the overall dimensions, weight of the equipment and, accordingly, the thermal power. In turn, they have a lightweight combustion chamber, due to the wall thickness of 8 mm.

Advantages of Pyrolysis Master boilers

Pyrolysis Master boilers are an excellent solution for autonomous heating of industries and residential facilities. Working on popular types of solid fuel, the boiler has a high efficiency and a fairly long service life.
