In the case when it is necessary to obtain a perfectly smooth horizontal surface, ready for laying linoleum, PVC tiles or laminate, the best intermediate layer can be obtained by pouring a liquid solution of a certain composition onto a well-waterproofed base. Such a solution is formed by dilution with water, in accordance with the instructions attached to each package of ready-mixed mixture, a wide variety of which is currently available on the building materials market.

The mixture consists of cement, gypsum, fillers such as fine sand and contains various chemical components that contribute to the rapid and uniform spreading, plasticization and stabilization of the resulting coating. The ideal horizontal surface forms itself under the influence of gravity. That is why these mixtures are called self-leveling. Different formulations are associated with different conditions and different thicknesses of the coating formed.

Wooden floor

In front of the floor, heat and sound insulation should be placed between the beams. It can be mineral wool, expanded clay or slag.   • If the curvature along the plane is greater, then it is more expedient to pour a cement-sand screed along the beacons, because the price for self-leveling mixtures is quite high.
